Help Santa deliver a Safer New Forest this Christmas by treating your family and friends to gifts that bring peace of mind.
Look out for the Safer New Forest Partnership at the Lymington Christmas Lights Switch-On event on Friday November 29. Partners will be meeting the late night shoppers to hand out community safety advice and offer a number of security products for sale.
High-visibility rucksack covers (£4) and bike locks for cyclists (£16), alarmed padlocks (£10) and flashing light armbands to be worn in the dark (perfect for schoolchildren, cyclists and runners) will be available for just £1.
In addition, partners will be helping shoppers attach purse lanyards to their handbags and giving security advice to residents.
The Lymington Christmas Lights Switch-On will also feature a festive street market, late night opening in the shops, carols round the crib and Christmas entertainment including special guests Peppa Pig and George.
New Forest District Council portfolio holder for Housing and Communities, Cllr Jill Cleary said: “The Lymington Christmas Lights event is very popular and fun for all the family. I would like visitors to stop at the Partnership stand to have a chat about the work being carried out in the community and see the excellent security products which would make great Christmas presents.”
The Safer New Forest cycle products and alarmed padlocks are also on sale at New Forest District Council information offices at Appletree Court, Lyndhurst; Lymington Town Hall; Hythe; Gateway, Ringwood; Fordingbridge and Totton.
