It is with great sadness we announce that Cllr Ron Vango-Fisher passed away on Saturday 2nd May 2015. All of our thoughts are with his wife Marina and their family.
Ron became a Councillor in February 2001. He represented the Parish Council on many outside bodies including Waterside Heritage and Age Concern. He was instrumental in resurrecting the Marchwood Fete held every July. Cllr Vango-Fisher held the position of Chairman to the Amenities Committee for many years.
He will be sadly missed.

Messages of Condolence:
Ron was not only special himself, but he possessed the quality of making other people feel special too, and it was privilege to know the friendship of this true servant of the people of Marchwood.
Friend and fellow Councillor
Ron was a valued friend and fellow Councillor for some years. I always appreciated his considered contributions to our meetings, and his concerns were always for the wellbeing of the people of Marchwood. I shall miss our ‘chats’ and his company. Carol and I are thinking of Marina and the family at this time.
Cllr. Fred White and Carol
Ron will be greatly missed, our thoughts are with Marina and all his family. I (Brian) have been proud to serve with him on Marchwood Parish Council.

A Great Supporter
Ron has been a long standing patron and stalwart supporter of Marchwood Orchestras.
He was a regular attender with Marina at our concerts since the infancy of the orchestra, he will be sadly missed.
Ron was always there to offer help and advice and often promoted our orchestras through his civic connections, a sincere and well loved man.
All our thoughts are with his wife Marina and their family.

Ron always had time to greet and thank me for coming to council meetings. He would always stop to chat if he saw me in the village and discuss ideas and plans for the future.
