Police are appeal for information following an attempted robbery in the New Forest.

At around 6pm on Monday, June 29 a man walked into the Premier Store on Main Road, Marchwood and demanded the shop worker hand over money.  The offender then tried to grab the till before leaving the store empty handed.

Following the incident the National Policing Air Service assisted local officers on the ground who were involved in a pursuit.

Two men aged 34 and 22 and a 16-year-old girl, all from Southampton, have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in custody being questioned by officers.

Detective Constable Robert Cross, said: “I am appealing for anyone with any information about this incident to come forward and tell us what they know.”
