I believe Jacobs Gutter Lane cannot take any more vehicles at
peak times and we do not want any more lorries driving through
the village centre. The Parish Council are working hard, talking
to all of the organisations who are looking to change the
industrial element of our village, to try and mitigate the impact
their activities will have on our village.

On a more positive note it looks likely that we will finally have a
cycle and pedestrian path from the village going to Eling. It will
be built on the other side of the hedge to the road and work is
due to start in the spring. Also construction on the footpath along
Long Lane is due to start in February, although there is currently
only funding for the northern part of the path.

Finally I would like to pass on my thanks to the Village Traders
for hosting their annual Christmas Fayre. I enjoyed the usual
music and activities and I also won a delicious Christmas cake
on the WI stall which I am still eating.

As always if you wish to raise any issues with the Parish Council
feel free to attend any of our meetings where the public are
always welcome, details are on our website or posted on the
notice boards around the village.
