Anyone struggling to find an NHS dentist in Southampton or the New Forest can now take advantage of NHS places in the SCA Trafalgar Dentistry practice in Totton.
The practice, at 123 Salisbury Road, Totton, opened in April last year in the premises of a former private dental surgery and has been completely refurbished and remodelled.
There are five dentists offering a full range of both NHS and private treatments as well as an hygienist and dental therapist.
Dental therapist Debbie Withers also offers regular free oral hygiene sessions for children aged 4-12 years to teach children how to look after their teeth. These sessions must be booked in advance at the surgery and are available on a first come, first served basis.
Trafalgar Dentistry is part of leading social enterprise Social Care in Action (SCA), which provides access to NHS dentistry for 70,000 patients in Hampshire on behalf of NHS Hampshire. As a social enterprise, SCA reinvests its profits back into the business for the benefit of patients and members.
“Our Totton practice is a friendly place offering high standards of professional dentistry and patient care,” said Barbara Pearce, Operational Manager for SCA Trafalgar Dentistry. “We are pleased to have some NHS places available at the moment and to be able to offer them to patients who are looking for an NHS dentist. Anyone who is interested can simply register at the practice or ring us to find out more. We look forward to welcoming you.”
