Freedom of the New Forest District To 17 Port and Maritime Regiment RLC

Sunday 25th September 2016 Amongst those who attended were County Councillor David Harrison, District Councillors Sue Bennison, myself, Fred White, Chairman of Marchwood Parish Council and District Councillor Alison Hoare, see picture above. The Freedom of the District was awarded to 17 Port and Maritime Regiment, Royal Logistic Corps based in our village, Marchwood. They have been given the right, honour and distinction of marching through the streets of the District on all ceremonial occasions with swords drawn, bayonets fixed, drums beating, bands playing and colours flying.
