NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that New Forest District Council, acting as agent to the traffic authority, Hampshire County Council, proposes to make an Order to allow carriageway resurfacing works to be undertaken, as follows:-

ROAD TO BE CLOSED: Those lengths of:  

Trotts Lane/Pooks Green Marchwood between its junction with Marchwood Road and its junction with Tavells Lane. Alternative route via Marchwood Road, Bury Road and Tavells Lane.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:
During any period of closure, alternative routes for diverted traffic will be signed on site.

PERIOD OF CLOSURE:
Between 18th January 2010 and 16th July 2010 or until completion of the works whichever is sooner. (Notwithstanding the above it is expected that each closure will be required for no longer than five days at each location and between 0930 and 1600 hrs only on each day that the road in question is closed.)

INFORMATION BOARDS WILL BE ERECTED ON SITE APPROXIMATELY TWO WEEKS IN ADVANCE OF ANY ROAD CLOSURE BEING IMPLEMENTED (Excluding any closures for emergency works). Reasonable facilities will be provided to allow access to adjacent premises while the work is being carried out.
