Police are appealing for information after a 17-year-old man was robbed at Lloyd Recreation Ground, Main Road, Marchwood.
The incident occurred at approximately 7.30pm on Saturday, May 3 near the pavilion.
It is believed that the man was followed by a group of youths along Main Road from the direction of the White Horse pub and into the park before the incident took place.
An ipod, tobacco and a lighter were stolen from the man; he was not injured as a result of the robbery.
The member of the group who took the items is described as:
· White
· 17-18 years of age
· Approximately 6ft 1ins tall
· Average build
· Wearing a white hooded top with the hood up, a black baseball cap and light blue coloured jeans
Detective Constable Tony Daniels of Lyndhurst CID said: “We are appealing for witnesses who were in the area at the time of the incident and saw either the man or a group of youths, or has any other information which may assist the investigation to come forward.
The officer added: “We are particularly keen to speak to a couple that had entered the park at the time the incident was taking place, as they may have seen what happened.”
