Beaver Colony
The Beavers planted sunflower
seeds before the summer break which they then took
home to nurture.
They kept a record of how the sunflower grew and then
took a picture to see who had grown the biggest sunflower.
The winner, with a sunflower that was over 2 metres
tall, was Jack Miell.
The Beavers have also been looking at safety around
the home and how to spot hazards. To coincide with
this topic they had a visit to Hythe Fire Station
during October which the boys all thoroughly enjoyed.
Cubs Pack
The Cub Pack have been finding out about the
Olympic Games, in particular the Paralympics and
disability issues. This was related to their badge
work on keeping fit. Their new topic is the home
help badge so there should be a few parents benefiting
from cleaner rooms and some meals cooked for them!
The Cubs are also busy
preparing for the Senior Citizens Party in December.
Scouts
The highlight for the Scouts this term was evening
spent at Calshot Activity Centre where the boys had
a go at climbing. They were set different challenges
to complete during the evening and had the opportunity
to abseil down once they had reached the top of the
climbing wall.
The Scouts have also had a film evening where they
enjoyed watching a movie and eating popcorn.
