Amenities Committee
Good Citizens Project:
As a result of suggestions for more seating in the
village by children from the Junior School who took
part in the project “Meeting
the needs of the Elderly”, two benches have
been ordered and will be installed near the Falklands
War Memorial. Another bench will be placed on the green
at Twiggs Lane at a later date.
Tree Offer:
The Council have accepted an offer of a Cherry tree
from the New Forest District Council. Planting position
to be decided.
The Over 12’s Play Area:
The main climbing frame area has now been completely
resurfaced.
Disability Discrimination Act:
All necessary inspections have been undertaken to confirm
compliance with the requirements of the Act, to be
subject to periodic reviews.
Basketball Nets:
Following a petition from youngsters in the village,
the provision of basketball nets for their use is being
investigated.
