Police Constable Andy Smith and Police Community Support Officer Matt Deakin are part of the Safer Neighbourhood Team based at Hythe, but primarily focus on your village of Marchwood. We work with you and our partner organisations to identify and act on neighbourhood issues and criminal behaviour.
Anti-social behaviour affects everybody and it is something we work hard to tackle by patrolling the area, giving a high visibility presence.
It is also vital that you report any issues of nuisance and anti-social behaviour.
We are making progress and the number of incidents we are called to has reduced from this time last year. In particular we can report that a total of eight convictions have been obtained following five arrests from a series of damage last November.
We have also been running ‘Beat Surgeries’ at Marchwood Village Hall.
These are an opportunity for the Marchwood community to come and meet their Safer Neighbourhood Team and discuss any issues or ask for crime prevention advice.
For dates, please look either at the Marchwood notice boards dotted around the village or check www.hampshire.police.uk |
