Welcome to the 100th edition of the Village News, produced by the Parish Council to keep everyone informed on what is happening in Marchwood. I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this publication over the years and also to those kind volunteers who go out and deliver it.
In this edition you will find a copy of my annual report presented at the Annual Parish Meeting in April. Since then the Parish Council has had an election to elect Councillors for the next four years. While the Village News is going to press the Parish Council will hold its first meeting to choose the Chairman of the Council and of each committee.
As you are aware, the Parish Council has been supporting the production of a Community Plan. Further on in the magazine you will find an article explaining the progress to date and asking for your comments on the draft final plan.
I would urge you to have a read of this document as it will have an important impact on how our village will develop over the next few years on issues such as transport, leisure and facilities in Marchwood. |
