We held our annual presentation evening at the Waterside Theatre where we were able to congratulate all the players who have completed a very successful and enjoyable season.

This year we were delighted to have Michael Poke, goalkeeper with Southampton FC to make the presentations.

Congratulations also go to Adie Stride and Jack Hussey who were chosen to represent the Tyro League team in the under 13 and 11 age groups.

The club ran three teams in the Eastleigh and District Mini Soccer League, competing at the Under 8, 9 and 10 age groups, finishing 4th, 7th and 11th respectively.

The under 11, 12 13 and 14 age groups competed in the eleven-a-side Southampton Tyro League. The under 14 and 13 age groups both finished 6th in division 2, the U11’s finished 4th in their league, whilst the under 12 age group won division 5 having won 15 and drawn 1 of their 16 matches.

The under 12’s capped a remarkable season by retaining the Tyro Sub-Cup, beating Hiltingbury Blue 5 – 2 in the final played at the AFC Totton ground.

Sue Froggett is stepping down as manager of the under 10’s and I would like to thank Sue for all the hard work she has put in for the team.

Many people have put in a great deal of time and effort to make the season such a success, none more so than the Managers and so on behalf of the players and parents our thanks go to Simon Lee, Steve Petty, Colin Whitehorn, Alan Hussey, Sue Froggett, Richard Holdsworth and Jules Larkin together with the many parents who have assisted them with training throughout the year.

Thanks also go to the parents for their support of the children and club throughout the season and to the committee for all their hard work which is much appreciated.
