| With the increase of beautiful flowers in the garden our thoughts turn to the main event in the Village Hall’s calendar, which is ‘THE BIG SUMMER FETE’ on 18th June at the Village Hall.
This year there is a ‘craft’ theme with many different crafts on display. It will be a day for all the family with face painting, hot dogs etc. as well as the W I’s delicious refreshments. Come along and enjoy the fun.
This year the committee have provided events for all ages, to fulfil our community role. In March and May we held Mini Gym sessions for children under 12, those who came had a wonderful time but the beautiful weather outside meant that the numbers were low. Undaunted we have arranged three more session for September, October and November. Watch the notice boards for more details.
By the time this goes to press we will have held our first ‘Tea Dance’. Our hopes are that it will be a resounding success and more events such as this will follow.
Later in the year we hope to provide film shows for family entertainment, again watch the notice boards for more details.
In September gentle exercise classes will be held for those with mobility problems, arthritis etc. phone the office for more details.
If there is something that you would like to see happening at the Village Hall give the office a ring – 023 80667927 – and we will consider all enquiries.
Don’t forget that rooms at the Village Hall are available for hire at very reasonable rates and our recently refurbished Oak Room is ideal for meetings etc.
Come along and see what we have to offer.
Have a great summer.
