| On Saturday 16 April at Sway Village Hall 29 handlers, including those from Marchwood who train their dogs at Cara Dog Training Club chose to take their KCGCD tests.
Everyone who took their Bronze and Silver Tests passed; some even being successful at both levels. Seven of the nine who took the harder Gold Test passed, with the others being so very close.
“This was a tremendous result that we are so very pleased about!” said Principal Chrissy Gough. She added, “Only because of each handler’s hard work, dedication and training has each dog reached this stage, which is something I know all of those handlers are so very proud of! We hear so much unfair criticism of dogs these days, that it is so important that dog owners play their own part in ensuring that their pets are trained to be socially acceptable dogs!”
KCGCD Tester Gill Devereux BIPDT commented most favourably upon the excellent pass rate and very high standards of handling performance by everyone she tested.
