Did you know there is a local charity called Nightstop which helps homeless young people from Marchwood and around the New Forest?
Nightstop is a team made up of 10 host households all around the Forest, including a household in Marchwood, who are part of a monthly rota which provides between 1 and 5 nights accommodation to vulnerable young people while their advisors look into longer term housing options.
Nightstop is part of Community First New Forest and is the only emergency service for homeless young people in the New Forest and we have helped many young people since 2002. Nightstop also has a team of volunteer drivers who give young people a lift to their accommodation.
If you know a young person who becomes homeless, or if you would like to know more about being a Nightstop host or driver, please contact the Nightstop Co-ordinator at Community First, Sue Roberts, on 01425 478391. |
