| Mulberry Pre-School |

During the first half term of the New Year at Mulberry, the children have had lots of fun trying a number of activities based upon a topic of transport. These have included making papier mache hot air balloons, and junk modelling vehicles, converting the home corner into an airport as well as enjoying songs and stories related to the theme. Two trips on the Hythe Ferry are also planned and eagerly awaited.
This term we are very pleased to have benefitted from a Local Network Fund grant, which will enable us to undertake some interior redecoration and provide the children with a newly refurbished book corner, in addition to new outdoor and indoor toys and equipment. Staff, children and parents would like to thank Local Network Fund for their generous grant, which is certain to enhance the learning environment at Mulberry.
The Mulberry Easter Disco is to be held on Saturday 31st March, and should be well worth attending with Easter egg hunts, an Easter bonnet parade, crafts and games. Tickets will be on sale shortly. Following the success of our pre-Christmas photo session, we have re-booked the photographer for Saturday 24th March. We have been very impressed with the price and quality of the ‘venture’ style portraits, and the session will be open to the community, with times to book on display at the pre-school.
Finally, an appeal for information: does anyone know when the pre-school was founded? We would be very interested in hearing from former pupils who may be able to help us establish the date of Mulberry’s birthday. |
