Do you fancy doing any of the following?
· Meeting new people
· Finding out about new interests
· Joining in lively discussions
· Having some fun
Then come and join us at NWR (or National Women’s Register to give it its Sunday Name!) is an international organisation of women’s discussion groups. Each group aims to provide its members with the opportunity to take part in stimulating discussions on a wide range of topics of a non-domestic nature, both serious and lighthearted.
At Marchwood NWR, we meet in each other’s homes about once a month for chats, discussions and a bit of a laugh. I must admit that a lot of our meetings seem to have something to do with food of some sort. We have had an American evening (with American food), an English Summer evening with strawberries and cream and some beautiful summer poems – very atmospheric.
We will be having a Murder Mystery dinner just before Christmas and next year we will be having a Chinese evening, which will probably involve food as well!
However, we are not fixated on eating! We have also gone for a walk in the forest (oh all right – we did go for a pub meal afterwards!), but we have had craft evenings (very hilarious), we have had a ‘Balderdash’ evening, we have had a talk from ladies from the Red Hat Society and we have had some serious discussion evenings.
We have about 15 or so members, and you probably know at least one of us already, probably more. We are very friendly and we don’t bite. So why not give us a ring and become a member now?
