Happy New Year !

As this is the first opportunity to send this greeting I hope the beginning of 2005 has proved successful for you all. 2005, we hope, will be a great year for Marchwood Village Hall.

This year we are upgrading the Oak Room, which many of you remember as the Pre -School room. With additional heating, carpet and blinds this ground floor room will provide an excellent meeting/training room for the use of the community as well as an ideal venue for children’s parties.

The year has started off very well with all the rooms being busy. We do, however, have space in the Maple Room on a Monday morning and evening for anyone who is considering starting a club or activity or would like to move to bigger premises. Why not pop in and have a look round?

On Saturdays we have no regular bookings so the hall is always available for parties, weddings etc. We will set up all the furniture for you so all you need is your food, drink and guests and you’re away. You can organise your own caterers, bar etc or you can bring your own food and drink (as long as you don’t sell it).

Why not organise a lunch or dinner for your friends or club/activity associates. We can provide details of caterers if needed. The cost of hiring rooms at the Village Hall is not as expensive as you may think. For example, four hours on a Saturday night in the main hall is under £78. Two hours on a Saturday in the Oak Room for a children’s party is only £21.40. Just think, no mess at home especially when the weather is bad.

The Village Hall is also a local information point so if you need to know what’s where and how do I do that, just come down to see us. The office is open from 9am – 12 midday, Monday to Friday or phone the office on 023 8066 7927.
