| Twiggs Lane Pre-School |
The summer term was very busy once again. The children were studying Shapes and Numbers through different activities. They also looked at ‘our community’ in the run up to the carnival. The carnival was a great success with the children dressing up in their medieval outfits.
We had our annual trips to Longdown Dairy Farm for the Twigglets, and also our day out at Paultons Park was a great success. Everyone enjoyed the journey on the double decker bus and we managed to pick one of the few dry days in July!!!
At the end of term we held our leavers party for all those moving onto Infant School. It was a wonderful (and tearful) afternoon with the children being presented with their PE Bags and the children presenting the teachers with some special books. We would like to thank Joan Truman for all her hard work once again.
We wish them ‘good luck’ as they leave us to join Infant School, but we also look forward to welcoming the new children who will be joining us after the Summer break.
Then we held our Teddy Bears picnic for all the children to end this school year.
We are holding our Open Evening and AGM on 20th September (please see posters further details). All are welcome.
Future events include Toy and Baby Equipment Sale – 3rd November and our Xmas activities morning planned for the end of November (look out for further details)
Please remember without the funds raised from these events we can’t replace vital equipment needed for the children at Twiggs Preschool – your support is needed and appreciated.
Please remember it is never too early to register your child for pre-school, please call in and collect an application form. We have been OFSTED inspected and are registered for the Nursery Education Grant |
