Handyman Service
I am pleased to say that Community First have re-introduced their handyman service. People may remember ‘Repair with Care’ which had to close last November as funding ran out. The new contract from Hampshire County Council includes provision for a new service, which is mainly aimed at people who are elderly, disabled, or on low incomes. People will be able to get small repairs and adaptations done at a low cost by a trustworthy and reliable Handyman. Examples of the type of work that can be done include: changing tap washers, easing drawers, putting up shelves, fixing door locks, hanging pictures and changing light bulbs.
Costs will be:
· £5 per hour for those in receipt of a qualifying benefit
(eg: income support, Council Tax Benefit, Pension Credit).
· £8 per hour for anyone else.
· Minimum labour charge of one hour.
· All materials paid for or supplied by clients.
Please ring 01425 478005 for the Handyman Service.
