The positive response we received to the Community Plan questionnaire has given us a clear view of the issues that the community of Marchwood would like to see addressed in the Plan.  Following on from that, the workshop we held in January then extended our views of the action priorities needed to effectively address those issues. 

The next step is to further develop those action priorities by identifying exactly what we want to do and where we want to do it.  For example, while there is a clear desire to see safer footpaths established in Marchwood, what we need for the plan to be effective is to know exactly the improvements we require and where we want to see them implemented. 

Only then can we take this forward to District and County with a clear request for action.  To reach that point I would like the input from local residents who know the area well and can highlight specific details of the priorities for action.

The plan is currently developing under 4 themes:

The Environment
The Economy
Social & Community
Transport & Access

The attached worksheets identify the current issues and actions for those themes and I am now asking key individuals in the community to give me their expert local knowledge by detailing exactly what it is we need to do to address each issue raised. 

Could I therefore ask you to review the attached, and where you have views you would like to express, add to the sheets the specifics that you feel need to be addressed for each issue, adding additional pages if necessary. 

Would you then please return the sheets to me by Monday 19th March either electronically or by post to the Marchwood Parish Council office. 

Should you wish to involve others in the community then by all means give them a copy of the enclosure for completion/return.
