The ‘Like it, Don’t Like it, I Wish’ community survey for Marchwood.

Hello, my name is Alan Stevens and I have recently joined the team at Marchwood Parish Council in the role of Community Plan Coordinator.  My task over the coming year is to work with the individuals and organisations that represent all aspects of the community of Marchwood to:

  1. establish a clear vision that describes the ideal future for Marchwood,
  2. identify the most important things that need to happen to further improve the quality of life for Marchwood residents,
  3. develop the action plan and timetable that will be required to deliver the desired outcomes.

The overall emphasis of the Community Plan is to identify what the community itself feels should be the future aspirations for Marchwood and its surrounding countryside.  Important to note, is that by completing the Plan process, Marchwood Parish Council will be able to access funding sources that would not otherwise be available to us.  Hearing the views of everybody who lives or works in Marchwood about the future action priorities for the village will therefore play a significant part in how well the plan grows and develops.  You can therefore help make very real changes in Marchwood by letting us know what you think those priorities should be.

Overleaf you will find a questionnaire that we would invite you to use to let us know your views about the priorities that you feel should be addressed in the community plan.  Many thanks in advance for taking the trouble to contribute to our plan.  It’s your community, so it’s vital that we get to know first hand how you want to see Marchwood developing in the years to come.

Additional copies of the questionnaire can be obtained by calling the Parish Council office on 02380 860273, or on the web site: PDF File .  We would also be very pleased to hear from you if you would like to become more involved in helping to develop any aspect of the community plan.

Kind regards

Alan Stevens

Community Plan Co-ordinator
