Over the weekend you may have heard that the National Threat Level has been increased to Severe. This means that intelligence agencies have worked together and think that the risk of a terrorist attack could be highly likely.
This said, the Government and Security agencies are not doing this to frighten members of the public or to indicate that any kind of terrorist activity is imminent - it is merely to inform - and in light of this I would ask that all Neighbourhood Watch Members and co-ordinators be vigilant in their neighbourhoods.
For those of you who have had a terrorism presentation by Special Branch please remember what they advised, the clips of information they showed you and of course if you feel there is something wrong call us. We would rather have 100 calls that came to nothing then miss one that did.
For those of you yet to have a terrorism presentation, please let me know and I will arrange one.
I will never understimate the importance of Neighbourhood Watch within a community, you all have a huge part to play in your immediate community safety and would like to thank you all again for the time you take to pass on information to your neighbours, school, churches and local councils et al.
If you would like more information can I suggest you look at the following website:

As always the numbers to call are:
999 in an emergency - where a crime is being committed or life is in danger
0845 045 45 45 or 101 for non emergencies
Or Crimestoppers on: 0800 555111
